Today Cassandra Clare shared more information about the different editions of the Shadowhunter’s Codex, which will be released on October 29th, since there has been very little information about the differences between the standard hardcover edition and the limited edition.
The special edition is in a lovely soft-touch slipcase with gold foil and embossed text. Inside is the blue Codex (a paper-over-board binding with soft touch and gold-foiled Mortal Cup on the front). The Codex has gold foil edging on all the pages, a golden ribbon, and a golden headband (the piece of cloth that goes across the top of the book binding). It also has four-color endpapers and 92 pieces of interior art.
The regular Codex has all the art and the text but not colored. So the differences are the velvet slipcase (a case you can slide the book out of), and gold Cup, the gold pages and ribbon, etc. It’s basically a really beautiful object. But the regular version is pretty too and contains no less information! So it’s really up to you what you want.

Vandaag heeft Cassandra Clare wat meer informatie gedeeld over de Shadowhunter’s Codex, die op 29 Oktober verschijnt, omdat er tot nu toe nog maar weinig bekend was over het verschil tussen de verschillende edities.
De speciale editie zal verschijnen in een prachtige soft-touch slipcase met goudfolie en geperste tekst. Binnenin is de blauwe Codex (met een hardcover binding en met een softtouch en met goudfolie bedrukte Mortal Cup op de voorzijde). De Codex heeft goudfolie op alle uiteinden van het papier, een goudkleurig lint, een een goudkleurige band. De speciale editie heeft ook vier gekleurde illustraties aan het einde en 92 illustraties in het boek.
De reguliere editie heeft alle illustraties en tekst, maar is niet gekleurd. Dus het verschil is de fluwelen slipcase (waar je het boek in bewaard), en de goudfolie Mortal Cup, de goudkleurige pagina uiteinden, goudkleurig lint, etc. Het is een prachtig object. Maar de reguliere editie is ook mooi en bevat geen letter minder informatie! Dus het ligt aan jezelf wat je wilt.
